There but for the Gracie...

The bright side of life is what I'm trying to see.

Friend and colleague sat me down this afternoon to tell me he had cancer, it's terminal and he's unlikely to have long. Daughter and wife in a dreadful state. None of them want our other mutual friends/colleagues to know, so I can't share/discuss/work out what to do for the best.

So when I was briefly elsewhere and saw another friend's youngest daughter (Grace) sleeping peacefully I took this picture, to remind myself that as one life draws to and end, another is just setting out.
