A treat to end the day

A funny old day which started with putting Tricia on a plane to go and see her mother and ended coming back from Baleshare at dusk. I hadn't got any decent image so wasn't quite sure what I was going to use as a blip until about a mile from home I passed this Short-eared Owl on a post.
Always a treat to see an owl, this one was unconcerned by me - albeit I was a fair way away. With the sunset on its back, it is not as sharp a photo as I would like but does show the bird as you see them in the half light.
