Flowers for mum

My mum recently retired and has a houseful of flowers from former colleagues so I decided to get this orchid for Mother's Day as it would be a bit longer lasting and be around after the others have faded.

Nancy got me some lovely dwarf narcissi in a pot, two cards (one she made and one daddy bought), a DVD and I was also allowed to choose something at the garden centre yesterday. I chose a clematis.

We went to my sister's for lunch and so there were three mothers around the table. It was lovely to have some family time, I hadn't seen them in a while.

I only have one child and will only ever have one child, though if it had been possible I would have liked to have had a few. I am so thankful every day for my girl as she was really a miracle. She is a pure joy.
