The Odd Couple

Ray and I joined the Territorial Army on the same day in 1997 and we were dined out on the same day, which was today.

Between us we earned nine medals, conducted six operational tours, completed 40 years in the Armed Forces and both ended our service as Section Commanders.

We were always close friends and this is what earned us the soubriquet of 'The Odd Couple' (I'm the Walter Matthau look- and act-alike.)

My Colombian friends' six-year-old daughter saw this pic and said: " they're very smart - are they getting married?"
