Safety

It transpires that cock pheasants can take off vertically - somewhat like the old Harrier Jump Jet. Or at least that's the affect that an encounter with a Husky appeared to have on this fellow.
After Thursday's ducks I was quite pleased to see this chap pecking away under the bird feeders - then I saw a slinking white shape on her tummy making her way through the flowerbeds (Husky's are no respector's of a gardeners hard graft). Unfortunately for Pushka avian sixth sense seemed to kick in at which point, with much squawking, the pheasant shot skywards onto our neighbours roof. And there it stayed, long enough for me to grab this shot. A little spoilt by the bird mess, but understandable given the narrow escape.
