#NYFLC2014

Today was a whirlwind--very tiring, but I got a lot out of it. The speakers were all very good, but I think that queer issues other than marriage rights, as well as classism and privilege, were very much ignored. I was also hoping that the focus would be less on political change and more on social change, although, I should've expected this. We are in DC, for goodness' sake. I think the most important part of the conference is not the speakers, but the conversations which they bring about. And it definitely got me thinking a lot. Made wonderful friends from Tennessee! Got very soaked in this crazy rain! Lots of free cheese! Lots of talk of lipstick brands! So I can't complain.
