Farewell Tinto Park!

Today was the farewell appearance of Benburb's historical and characteristic Tinto Park. Having visited Tinto for the first time earlier this season with Lochgelly Albert, we fortunately had a week off so I was able to visit one final time to say my goodbyes.

Such a lovely ground, albeit now not in the greatest condition, the bulldozers will be starting work on Monday so I am pleased I could make this trip, along with many other football supporters from all over the UK.

Today, Benburb faced Johnstone Burgh - ironically both teams have beaten Lochgelly in the Scottish Junior Cup (Benburb beat us 7-0 this season, Johnstone Burgh beat us 2-0 last season) so it was quite a coincidence that they should both be playing today.

For the record, it was Benburb who got a fitting send off for the old lady, winning 2-1.
