Tree Hunt Day!

We traditionally select a tree at a fundraiser held at Dunshee House. Dunshee House, Home of Seattle AIDS Support Group, welcomes individuals interested in building supportive communities through the cultivation of powerful, healthy and fulfilling lives. They provide extensive emotional support to those living with AIDS/HIV. Our son volunteered to help out on their tree sales days while he was in high school and we began to purchase our tree there from then on. This year was the first year he wasn't along...last year we had both the gooseandgander (their blip names) with us:) We always wear stocking caps made by my mom in years past when she was alive. This year I wore the hat the gander always wears:) Both of them were there in spirit. Cowboy refused to wear one ha ha. Afterwards, we invited two close longtime pals of goose to help decorate it. They came over and put all the lights on and decorated it so beautifully....and we all feasted on pizza, pop, salad and party mints. Having the girls over last night made the missing of gooseandgander a little less sad...actually made for a very fun evening. Altho we miss the kids dearly we compensated by making another way to do tree day a happy one. Thank you all for you lovely comments and Have a good week:)
