Skylines 2

A rip in the mossy grey sphagnum ceiling today. Bright blue sky. Unbelievable! I noticed the wispier clouds from our bedroom. When I opened the front door I saw this withering stalk of a vapour trail leaning among the cirrus (I think they're also known as 'horsetail clouds'). There's a bird in there too, if you can spot it, probably a swift or swallow.

I also spotted a very strange cloud formation; a striation behind the other clouds in the lower part of the following picture (just above the treeleaves on the left), like a ghost's toeprint. I have christened them CORDUROY CLOUDS.
