Sherborne Abbey.

Once today's work was done I took a walk around Sherborne and took a brief look at the Abbey. On the top is an overall view and the bottom part of the picture shows a view looking directly up to part of the incredible ceiling.

There has been a place of worship on this site since at least 705 AD, since then over the centuries much has happened. The building has parts from Saxon times and centuries in between up to the 15th century.

I'm now back home for a day before returning to Sherborne next week to complete the opening.
