Embryo fig

Today I was out in the garden all day, it was warm and windy with a cloudy sky, but didn't rain. I noticed that there are little baby figs and leaves emerging at the ends of the branches on the fig tree. In six months time the dogs and I will be eating fresh figs (can't stop them gathering up the windfalls) and I'll be making jams and chutney, and giving them away to anyone who will have them!
