Stone Stack

Spofforth Castle is in a small village half way between Harrogate and Wetherby. The castle dates back to the 14th century and is always worth a walk round for some pics.

Thought this 'stack' of stones, which presumably covered most of the walls, looked odd against the inner walls.

The sun is just appearing after a very still grey morning.
