I've realised that I never take portraits. Yesterday my husband was interviewing a local author for a short article he is writing for a magazine and he asked me if I wanted to come along and take some photos. Apart from the fact I had a lunch booked with some friends I realised I couldn't do it as I've not got the first idea about how to take a decent portrait.

So this morning I had a go using Rosie as my model. As she was all glammed up ready for he friend's birthday party she was very willing to pose for me.I only had natural light and I have no special equipment to help with balancing the light but I think it turned out ok.
