Mission Mountains

Heading north toward Glacier Park this morning. A delivery of artwork is heading for the buyer in Whitefish next to the park. On the way, we top a rise which gives one pause...the first glimpse of the Mission Mountains with a fresh coat of snow. I do love this range with its countless waterfalls and streams running down its face. The Missions then run into the park on its northern flank. These granite peaks have their heads in the clouds this morning. You know Glacier's boundaries when you see them further on, but today they are shrouded in low clouds and snow, so for now we'll just delight in running alongside the base of these Mission peaks toward the Crown of the Continent.
