Daffodils
I was back at the Sheriff Court today, and as on Monday, the wheels of Justice were very slow. We were asked to be there by 10:30 for a 10:45 start, and then were sent away for a coffee break until 12:00. I walked down to the Meadows and went round a few Turf Zones, and looked at the Daffodils, which are at their best at the moment. These are at the west end by the bowling club. At 12:00 we were told to come back at 14:00, so I went to the Castle (I'm a member of Historic Scotland, so entry is free). Sadly, it started hosing down at 13:00, and I was drookit when I got back to court. Of course, I was selected to serve on the jury, and gradually dried out over the course of the afternoon. It's the first time I've been at the sharp end of the legal system and it is interesting. I can't discuss it with anyone, which is difficult, as there are many questions and thoughts it would be nice to mull over with an outside party. It looks like we'll be there until next Monday at least.
