Zucchero!

Zucchero was fantastic! He’s been called “the most famous rock star you’ve never heard of”, and anyone who hadn’t heard of him and didn’t come to the concert really missed out. His bluesy voice and emotional interpretation of the songs were great. It felt like we were at a concert in Italy – Zucchero spoke and sang mostly in Italian, and comments from the extremely enthusiastic audience were mostly in Italian too. He was backed by a fantastic band. I don’t know who the lead guitarist was, but she was fabulous and also had a great voice. I’m perfecting the art of dancing while sitting – impossible to sit still.
We went to John’s Place for breakfast this morning. It’s a great café, walls covered with iconic posters, delicious food.
A little bit of Italy last night and a little bit of Scotland to look forward to next Saturday – Danny Bhoy!
