Lonely boat

DDW's March 2014 Challenge Day 28: Lentic = Situated in still, fresh water

Me & My Love had a nice walk with the dogs before I went to work this afternoon. This boat is at the foot of the abandoned scrap yard and it too has been abandoned, devoid of care or use.

Most of the winter it has been completely submerged, occasionally poking it's nose just above the water. The last few weeks of drier weather has seen the water recede enough for the boat to be more visible, though it still sits full of water, it's belly resting on the floor of the loch.

It's a sad sight but I am glad to see it risen from the water again.

I am now home from work and looking forward to a weekend of nice things and adventuring with the love of my life.
