Dunno who this crowd were but they racked up at the Venture Scotland ceilidh and sang Fabio Capello. Thats a pun worthy of ecodad, great description of his jokes by wingpig (2nd paragraph) . And talking of bad jokers Edinburgh Athletic club arrived en masse including the indefatigable HBT groupie Fergie, purveyor of a weekly emailed joke to the whole club.

VS ceilidhs are so different to what they used to be. No Davids or Donnas, and few Edinburgh volunteers either. Still, I knew a few folk and it raises money for the organisation, allowing more citykids to get out in the wilds. Ms not-so-rancid left early for the second year in a row, citing overcrowding but I reckon it was just general miserabality.

So I ended up dancing and chatting to her pal and inevitably talking about blips and eventually she remembered the moniker of a mutual friend, another eco convert - Just Sitting

So I ended up in a bar round the corner when the ceilidh kicked out with Kevo and the athletes. Marek spoke to us a little but otherwise they were over stocious (and testosteronal) following the days cross country event. There followed the drunken walk down the hill.

Managed to catch a small episode in someones life outside Omni. Blipped the big light display and a couple had a row by it. The woman was still and the picture of desolation, the bloke went away and came back. The picture tells the story and I love it - he is a blur, she is small and cowed - with a similar pattern on her clothes to the garish dummy in the window. But it was after midnight and my niece is visiting today for The Cribs so I fear I will not use it.

Blimey - what a day, I forgot to mention ecodad's footie session, I went to watch lassies play and ended up sliding on the mud in pavement shoes and trying to keep clean as I was meeting Ms not-so-rancids mum. Luckily it was dark down Mary King's Close so I think I got away with it. And Pompey won. And Hibs won. WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW
