The Ancient Cypress Tree

This is the ancient cypress tree at the monastery of Michail Roukouniotis. It shades a round meeting area just outside the monastery and I can't imagine how old it may be. The monastery has been here since early christian times and before that a temple is reported to have stood on the site.
