Two homes

I was out for a lunchtime walk in the sun and decided to try to blip a fairly "ordinary" street with older houses, rather than searching for something super-interesting or beautiful. Sometimes the ordinary is more interesting!
These streets of older houses also have a lot of fairly mature trees and I noticed very active magpies with nests in these trees. The winter storms brought down a large number of twigs and the melting snow is now revealing this debris. Well, I call it debris but the magpies call it building materials.
I watched magpies scavenging and working in the trees. One of them even disappeared into the nest, down the entrance tunnel, and didn't reappear for several minutes so I wonder if they already have eggs. I'm no expert on birds!
I decided my image today was going to be a house and a nest together. It took a while to find the right house and nest but here they are!
