Flaming ears!

Popped into Bolatti's the City Barbers on Fenchurch Street at lunchtime today for a bit of trim & tidy up.

I went for the classic 'old style' haircut with scissors and an open razor. Just as expected. A treat!

However I wasn't fully prepared for the 'flaming ear' treatment that was thrown in at no extra cost and without discussion.

They took what looked like a huge cotton bud, soaked it in alcohol, lit it and burned all the little hairs on my ears! Ouch.

I can still smell burning two hours later!
