Mallard Drake

My wife had an appointment with the ENT Surgeon at the Stracathro Hospital, to check how her ear was doing after her operation three weeks ago. Everything is progressing well, so we are very pleased.

We then had lunch in the delightful Brechin Castle Garden Centre. There is also a Country Park connected to the Centre so we had a short stroll as it was very cold and dull. A number of Mallard ducks were fussing around us so I took this shot of a very proud Drake. I also tried some macro shots of budding leaves but I need a lot more practice!
