Gordon's
Met up with R tonight, a friend from my previous job that I haven't seen in ages. We went to Gordon's wine bar, London's oldest wine bar, situated by embankment station. It's an amazing ramshackle of a place, with low ceilings, a very old fashioned feel and a great atmosphere. It's always rammed and you have to sit wherever you can find. We perched on the edge of a table, sharing it first with a couple of women and then a couple clearly in the first stages of a relationship. We couldn't help but listen to their conversation and analyse their intentions, getting caught out a couple of times by the man.
We shared a yummy cheese board, piled with two different cheeses, Parma ham, crusty baguettes and chutney, accompanied by two bottles of Rioja and a bottle of prosecco. We gossiped and talked about nonsense and I can't remember the last time I laughed so much.
