Full bloom

There is a word in Japanese, 満開 read as mankai, which means the blossoms are in full bloom. Today was a mankai day. I had the most invigorating walk to school in warm sunshine and flowers blossoming everywhere I looked. Then I did hanami, aka picnic under cherry blossoms, with some teachers at lunchtime. It was especially nice because those teachers are transferring to new schools next week and this was the last day I could spend with them. Great day!
