Quiet Time

There are moments when The Boss is pretty laid back and there are moments when he can get his camera out of his sling bag and change lens at the speed of light. This was one of those. It was early into our morning walk on the outlet side of the lake and I had a wonderful time. I met Max (German Sheppard) and his owner R, who I hadn’t seen for ages and Tyson (Black Lab) who I had never met and a bunch of other assorted dogs including a Staffie (on a lead thank goodness) and a Siberian Huskie ( that DIDN’T like me at all but also on a lead) and The Boss chatted to a nice bloke from the North Island which meant that he was not watching ME much so………BUT I scored 100% in the “Tussock Come” stakes so the level in the treat bag went steadily down and all was well with the world.
There is a newcomer in the house. It looks like a dog but it don’t smell like one and it sits by the back door and keeps it open. The Boss says it is a D.S Dog (Door Stop) and I have left it alone all yesterday but celebrated The Bossess coming home with an excited blat around the house and I may (repeat MAY) have accidently grabbed it by it’s tail and repositioned it into the lounge. There followed a period of “training” when The Boss and Bossess without appearing to, watched me like a dangerous dog until I approached D.S to check him out and I was rewarded with the dulcet delicate tones of LEAVEIT!!!!!...at a level that would have had the noise abatement folk alarmed and which almost turned my curls white. Stay tuned for further developments. The Boss has suggested that he wrap it in Broccoli for complete protection. (No Comment)
The bloke in the Kayak was completely alone and I can imagine what a wonderful time it would have been to cross this bay. I have never been in a Kayak so it might be fun but then again maybe not. I am not big on small spaces except in Suzz on my sheepskin rug.
