Sunsettish

Pale coloured sunset sort-of picture - not sure what that middle line of cloud-like feature is but the boyfriend reckons it's a trail from a plane.

It's a pity but my camera really doesn't do justice to faraway shots like these. Perhaps someone can give an opinion, is it really worth investing in a macro lens?
