Waste not, want not

Took this shot yesterday morning of the beautiful cherry blossom (?) tree outside the house, but I was so tired by the time I got home at 11pm that I'd forgotten all about it. So, whilst I know it's not in the spirit of Blip to use a photo taken on the wrong day, I loved it so much that I wanted to share it.

Yesterday was a day of extremes - stupidity galore (upon which I won't dwell), but then the miracle of people actually, voluntarily using the SharePoint intranet site I've set up for our department at work. Woo hoo, you've no idea how much this delights me! I've been concerned right from the outset of designing it that it'd be a waste of time and too much effort for people to use. And I know, however much I bang on about it, some of my colleagues will always be sceptical about it. But others have been so positive, so enthusiastic to see something that, apparently, we've been crying out for forever, that it makes me so happy to have created something worthwhile. Hopefully, as things are added to it, it'll become more useful and, who knows, maybe eventually a part of the furniture :-)

Topped off the day with a bit of a tootle round town - Liz Earle moisturiser has gone up to £20, I'm sure it wasn't that much before! - and a lovely dinner with Peter and Thomas which, thanks to a voucher I had after booking our Christmas party at the restaurant, only cost us £2.25. I was prevented from leaving a bigger tip than I did - I sometimes wonder if that trip to New York skewed my brain into thinking that 10% isn't enough any more...

I also won't dwell on today - really tired and I suspect that the cold which has been coming for around 3 weeks is about to surface :-(
