A Fine Pair

What a crummy day I had today! Got off late from work, then walked outside to a rainy (well, ok, it beats the snow!), misty, 38 degree (F), grey, windy & generally miserable looking day! I stopped at the park to find a blip, & was amazed at the number of ducks that were there, as well as the ever-present geese! I would have had a really amazing shot of about 10 ducks taking off in flight all at once, had I been prepared! (is this sort of like telling everyone about the "huge" fish that got away?? Haha!) Unfortunately at that moment my only thought had been to keep my camera dry, & I hadn't even turned it on yet! You'd think I'd have learned by now! So I slowly made my way toward the edge of the water/ice (yes, there's still ice on the pond), & for every step closer that I'd get, the ducks would all waddle further away on the ice. I stood still for about 5 minutes in the rain, & I finally had 1 pair that started to walk past a little closer to me, & I managed to get a shot. Hope the weather's better tomorrow! :)
