Moor Poetry

On one of the main city centre streets in Sheffield, there are many seats with carved words on them - a little esoteric it seems to me, but rather nice. I've seen them many times, but today I took this photo of one of them and felt I had to turn to Google to find out a bit more. This is what I found.
