Pretzels for Lent

In the olden days, the faithful made small breads made from flour water and salt, to remind themselves that Lent is a time of prayer. They shaped these breads in a form of crossed arms; in those days they crossed their arms over the breast while praying.

Today my friends and I from MCCW made these pretzels and will share with our fellow parishioners as a reminder about the simplicity and prayer during the Lenten season.
