Barbara Has My Stamp of Approval

Had a run in the this morning with clothing that was too inadequate , too skimpy and too ridiculous for the cold .

Was meant to go straight home to warm up but popped into this gift shop to pick up a gift quickly. An hour later I left the shop ( still cold , still inadequately dressed ) because this lovely lady kept me chatting for most of that time .

I always love shopping local because of the friendly feel but this woman gives all that local warmth and more . She simply loves her job .

Her shop is full to the rafters of all things Yorkshire ((well almost - no Yorkshire puddings , no Brownlee shrines ) and has a delightful homely feel to it.

Got a bunch of stuff to post to people and when I asked her if she sold postage stamps she gave me them for free just because she wanted to be nice . You don't get that in the large chains .

Shop local , shop Yorkshire but remember to go dressed appropriately ! X
