Historical Perspective

Six of our WI met today to discuss a project to celebrate our 90th anniversary next year, and the WI's centenary.
Some members brought along collections of old photographs, of which this is one.
Taken in our village, this picture tells of a slower pace of life than we experience now. If you stood in the middle of this road now, you would take your life in your hands, as it is an A road and busy, except for the later evenings and nighttime.
Delving into the history of our village is a fascinating past time!
