Pinkster Azalea
For those of you who enjoyed my 'hot pink' Azalea blip yesterday here is a more 'tame' version. This
Pinkster Azalea...Rhododenfron nudiflorum... is an Azalea native to the southeastern U.S. It isn't as showy, of course, as it's domesticated cousins...but I think that it has a lot of Southern Charm:) Native Azaleas also come in white and there are some that bloom a deep golden/yellow color!
Native Azaleas are a welcome addition to a Native/Florida Friendly yard like ours. They may take a while to become established, but then they are very hardy and beautiful perennials!
