Hospital Beata Maria Ana 3
I am the hospital for a third time (and not last). I finally decided to get my foot checked out. It was maybe a month ago. I was running to catch a bus. My feet were pounding on the ground at such great strength and I only had my old, flat shoes on. They were practically worn out, but they were my causal shoes and I liked them. To my dismay, this repeated action caused a self-diagnosed stress fracture. After a month, it felt somewhat okay, so I began running at the gym again. The pain returned and now I figured it was time to get it looked at. I mean, I do have free health insurance!
The trauma doctor wasn't very helpful. He pressed against my right foot and various points and asked if I felt any pain. I replied no, no, and no again. He recommended I wear a "tobillera" (a foot boot) and get some x-rays. I decided not to do any of his recommendations. One, I don't want to wear a boot. Two, I figure I should just let it rest... I hope my foot will be okay for the camino.
