Jess & Billy's Rehearsal Dinner

Jessica & William enjoyed dinner this evening with some of their closest friends and their families. After their wedding rehearsal the dinner was at Cafe Portobello in Coppell, Texas.

The meal was delicious with a choice of soup or salad, no less than 8 entree choices, and choices of yummy dessert.

Tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 this couple will say their vows, make their promises, exchange rings, and in an instant become one . . . their lives will never be the same. Their "I do's" will create a brand new family. We're excited for them and consider it an enormous privilege and blessing to be present for this joyful occasion.

At the moment it is 32 degrees F in Dallas. It's cold. We left 73 degree weather in Southern California yesterday. I am so glad I remembered to bring my knit gloves, but I don't think they are going to look very "stylish" with the fancy dress I brought to wear to this wedding. I can't imagine wearing anything other than my turtleneck, blue jeans, and knit socks. So tomorrow might just be a goose-bump moment for reasons other than watching a bride walk down the aisle. Maybe it will be double goose-bumps -- one for the wedding and one for the weather.

It won't matter how cold I get, watching a bride say "I do" to her groom will warm me clear through.

Okay, I am more than tired. So I am going to bed with visions of brides and grooms and rings and flowers and candles and cakes -- dancing in my head. Tomorrow I'll be at a December wedding savoring every moment.
