Hitching Post
A long walk today, through the Hermitage of Braid, which, although not so far from the house, we don't see too often. Having reached the east end we stopped for a very satisfactory coffee and snack at the Braidburn Inn, wandered through King's Buildings, admiring the profusion of daffodils, to a bus partway home. The sky was blue, the birds in full song, heard our first chiffchaff, saw wren, thrush plus the more common species - a super day.
Being on Shank's Pony we didn't need the hitching post, which I think may be relatively new.
