Gullfoss

Hired a car today and drove the Golden Circle, which proved to neither gold nor circular. However it was a fabulous opportunity to revisit Thingvellir, then continue on to Geyser, and Gullfoss.

Despite the persistent and almost continuous rain we managed a few photos at each place. This is Gullfoss, or Gold Falls. The fall is 32m high and plummets into a 20m deep gully. On particularly wet years the gully has been known to overflow!
