The Terrible Tender
Time to sort out the dinghy.
So I brought it home and ripped off the barely stuck fibreglass mat that had been plastered all over it and revealed the extent of the damage. The previous owner was a bit of a cowboy.
All the mating surfaces now cleaned off and all the loose resin removed.
The first of the new tanks has been made in plywood and resined in over the old tank underneath. Will get another layer of tape and resin on tomorrow.
Then the same treatment for the midships tank.
The stern tank only needs the top sealing and a new seat putting on.
Then I will replace the gunwales (pronounced gunnels) and fit new rowlocks (pronounced rollocks).
At that point I may start referring to it as she.........
