Engelberg

So this is the view one would get of the Navigli when they have to be up at 6am to catch a train. Not sure I quite appreciated the beauty of it at the time. And that was the start of my journey to Switzerland from Milan-Zurich-Luzern-Engelberg, including a fair bit of faffing around at stations, wondering whether I was being ripped off for a cup of coffee (still not entirely sure what the franc-euro conversion rate is) and working out what language to speak (danke? grazie? merci? or in my case just opt for a confused thanks). After a quick hop to the airport to pick up Pj followed by the last couple of train journeys, we finally made it to Engelberg at about 5pm. How it took nearly 12 hours when I was only on trains for about 6 is beyond me. That must have been a lot of faffing...
