Park Bistro

I went for lunch with a friend today. It turned out to be much more complex than it should have been.

Our intended meeting place was the Cupcake Cafe, near Linlithgow. But when we got there, we were told that the cafe was nearing the end of a refurbishment and was closed for a couple of days.

Oh well, I suggested the restaurant in the Beecraigs Country Park. Lovely place, magnificent views down the Forth to the Bridges and beyond. But when we got there, there was a notice saying that it had ceased trading.

Third time lucky, we went to the Park Bistro. This is it here; it is just beside the Union Canal at the eastern side of Linlithgow. At least here was open, and we got to sit down and have a lovely lunch.
