Six boys

Nearly sixty years ago six boys in the local church youth club started a friendship that has endured the test of time. Most have moved away from the area but have kept in touch. We went to each others' weddings, are godparents to the children and shared in each others' sorrows. Sadly two of the group are no longer with us, but today the remaining four "boys" and their wives met for lunch in the village pub where they had their first half pints of brown ale all those years ago. The pub has changed, and so have the boys, but the friendship is as strong as ever.
