Really unimportant photograph

This was taken in a rush before I went out. I knew I wouldn't have time to take any photographs on the journey, so just went and took this no-so-impressive one. I got back from Thom's, packed, and wrote a mock French essay exam. And then I left again. Living up to my name!

Today I go to Caen!!!.

For those I don't know, I fell in love with Caen last year; the place, the people, the atmosphere, the joie de vivre. I've also pined, cried and whined a lot about how I'm not there now. And now, I'm going for a week. And I can't wait to see everyone. I'm one of those lucky people who made friends with people of the town, so going back to the town means I get to see them all. I don't have the words to explain my feelings right now, so I won't.

The journey was long and, as ever, the transport jinx that I have followed me around. Unfortunately someone jumped in front of one of the earlier trains, leading to an hour delay. Luckily, because of my travel jinx, I had left an hour leeway for things to go wrong. By the time I got to the port I just wanted to be on the ferry and in the cabin asleep. The ferry trip is usually great for me, and I sleep the entire way...so let's hope that I only have that one bad luck in my journey!
