Parents Night...

I really like parents night because however much I interact with the homework, it doesn't really give you a sense for the work that they are doing in the class and it's so fascinating seeing what they've been up to and how they're learning.

I noticed Ewan's reading because of the reading books he gets sent home from school that we have as bedtime stories but I just didn't realize how much his writing has been coming along and how descriptive he's becoming.

This page is his recounting of our day rock climbing the other week. Just a paragraph and a few sentences but coupled with the picture and the very legible writing. I may have gushed a wee bit.
