I LOVE rearranging furniture in the absence of money to buy new stuff.

I swapped the kitchen table from our 10 year old round one, back to a rectangular one that has been in the garage since before that, though the wooden surface is so terrible that I also had to dig out a wipe-able covering. Both last used when Sam was in a high chair.

It was not a popular decision as you can see! Most objection being to the choice of table covering.

It's OK with four people (chairs tuck in OK) but with 5 not so much, and negotiating around the table - fridge /oven on opposite sides all a little too tight.

Not sure even IKEA can do us something quite right for this space...
