Evening Blue

With added floodlights from the rugby pitches further along Ferry Road. Reminds me of seeing the floodlights of football grounds in numerous different cities. Sometimes when I was on the way to the game and other times when I was heading somewhere else. It seemed to mean more when almost all of Europe was playing the European football tournaments on the same night and there was a sense of matches taking place all over the continent in the three different tournaments, as they were then, UEFA Cup, Cupwinners Cup and European Cup. Unlike these days when the Champions League seems to spread across weeks to play the same round of matches all in the interests of keeping TV supplied with a steady stream of matches.
