Veerhaven Rotterdam

Last week I left my car at the office before setting off to England by train and plane. Intention was to avoid the traffic chaos promised in the Netherlands due to the G8 ( or maybe G7) summiteers in Den Haag. Part of the motorway system is closed to get the cars of the world leaders to and from Schiphol Airport. Typical of the Netherlands everyone heeds the warnings and stays home so it is actually a lot quieter than a normal day.

Anyway I went back to the office on the Metro with a nice little walk past the Veerhaven with it's mostly permanently moored tall mast ships - especially nice in the clear crisp spring morning
