Spring is bustin' out all over!

Walking through the park this morning, my eye was caught by the fresh green shoots bursting out of this tree. Blossom was to be seen everywhere and the birds were busy collecting nesting materials. Spring was definitely bustin' out all over!

It was only when I got home and zoomed in on this photo that I noticed that the green 'shoots' were in fact bunches of tiny green flowers. I have no idea what sort of tree this is, do you?

(Since posting my original photo, I've cropped it slightly so that you can get a closer look at the green flower thingys (that's the technical term!) in the hope that someone can identify this tree for me.)
