Let's Face the Music

A busy and productive day today. Firstly trying to sort out Friday's issues (I've made a good start on that), and the rest just normal Monday stuff.

The light first thing this morning was absolutely beautiful, and I was up at 6.30am trying to capture it. Draped over my stairs is my Ballroom dress that I'm wearing for Blackpool. The lady who repaired it also steamed it to get the creases out, and it looks one hundred times better. I didn't dare squish it back into my wardrobe (it's got a shelf so the dress can't hang properly) so this is literally the only available space in my house where it can hang!

A work crew has been digging the roads around me for the last couple of weeks, and the orange cones have been slowly encroaching nearer to my cul-de-sac. I arrived home today to find that my car parking space was no longer, and instead has 6ft of rubble dumped on top of it, and my house is entirely surrounded by cones! I even have the JCB digger there too! Joy. It looks so awful out there. I'm told they are doing electricity cabling, but all they seem to do is drill trenches, not fill them, and then move on and dig more? Fill them in boys! Finish one job before you start the next one!
