My Mam

Today would have been her birthday she was born in 1909 she
was born in Ireland, she was put on a boat and sent to England
when she was a young teenager, she went into service, she
couldn't read or write and my Dad taught her, she was a wonderful
cook, never had scales or recipe books, I just remember a certain
spoon she used for measuring stuff, she made amazing pastry and
cakes..She had 15 children three sets of twins, they died and their
are 6 of us left..We have tried in vain to find out about her but
always blanks..She told me she was an only child, but a fellow
blipper has been researching her and may have come up with
other siblings, this has been very emotional for me to think I may
have relations in Ireland, so S I cannot thank you enough.
You must have spent a long time doing this and you hardly know
me..what an awesome site Blip is...
I have to go to Ireland now to see if I can find out more. My head
has been buzzing since reading the email yesterday...
This is the only Photo I have and it's not great as it's been scanned
my daughter and G'daughters think I look like her, I think I do a
bit...
Hope you all have a good day..x
