Sanctuary

Today was beautiful but cold, with a bright blue sky and intense sun. I was a few minutes early for a meeting at the church this evening, so I looked into the sanctuary to see if the sunlight was flooding through the windows. And it was.

The sun cast a warm glow over the polished wood of the church, but I chose to process this image in black and white because I wanted to emphasize the shape of the repeated ceiling arches. But you can imagine it in colour if you like!
